The host family upon arrival was perfect. Perfect for trip. Very close to the airport, 10 km. Would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again.

I liked it because it was quite, room was see view and I could enjoy my stay a lot. Staff was very helpful.
We could'nt find any local food shops, but it was not very big issue, because we had a car and could drive to Newlyn or Penzance which where just a few miles away.

The sea view is fantastic. The location of the hotel is excellent if you want to travel around Land's End and Lizard areas.
The reception wasn't very good. I was also a little bit disappointed with the view. I did not expect to have a wall blocking partly my sea view when I booked for a superior room.

The staff.
The hotel has a lot of potenial. It needs many upgrades. There are limited electrical connections. There is limited counter space in the bathrooms. The connections for the towel warmer is on the floor outside the room.

The setting was lovely
A bit chaotic due to recent change of ownership but I am sure that these are just teething problems

Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Room clean and very comfortable with sea views. Breakfasts were excellent. Dining room enjoys good views over the sea and garden. Bus service excellent.
We would have spent more time in the bar if the prices were more reasonable, and would have had dinner there also.

Great location and views.Excellent terrace and views of the restaurant.
Rooms were dated with wet room instead of shower or bath in the bathroom. Despite the positive feeling of being upgraded to a terrace room, the terrace had great views but no umbrella or comfortable chairs to sit on, and as the sun was hitting hard it resulted in the terrace not being used [ we did call and request for umbrella but none was available]. No mini-fridge in the room. On our last night, we were moved to a double room with sea views, but could not sleep for most of the night as there were hotel flags/metal ends outside the window that kept banging on the glass all night. Despite staying there on the weekend and paying a expensive rate in excess of 150GBP/night, the breakfast and checkout were very early on Sunday. Overall the price of the hotel was too high compared to the level of services offered and the level of "luxury" of the rooms. The same hotel at a 30-50% discount would have been great, but it was simply overpriced compared to the location it offered.
